Hi, I'm Lauren, the face behind the lens. My full time job is capturing weddings. My joy is working with each unique couple and telling their story through still photos. Out of all the different types of photography, I was drawn to wedding photography. I love it because I love being a part of the happiest day of someone's life. I also love stepping into a day that has been planned for months (and sometimes years!), and capturing everything that my brides and grooms worked so hard to create. Even more, I love capturing all the little moments. The laughter, the tears, the unexpected moments, the moments my bride might never have otherwise seen. I love capturing these moments and being able to give my clients something that they can forever cherish as a reminder of that special day. This is why I love what I do.

Jon & Emily's wedding was held at the beautiful West Manor Estate in Bedford, Virginia. The ceremony took place in their famous glass atrium, and the reception was right next door in the elegant ballroom.
Emily is a graphic designer and expert hand-letterer, so she incorporated her own personal touch in a variety of details, including these favor boxes, containing yummy Ferrero Rocher chocolates.
The moment when it finally hits you that you're getting married!
Jon and Emily chose to do a first look, which I absolutely love shooting! It is so special to create a private moment for the bride and groom to see each other and just be together before all the festivities begin. And every single one of my couple's who has done a first look says it doesn't take away from the moment when she walks down the aisle either. There is still so much emotion!

I was absolutely smitten by the bridesmaids ombre toned dresses and bouquets. The cascading ribbons and rich floral color palette set against flowy, feminine fabric. It was swoon worthy!
