Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiana Creation.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. I am a full-time mom and a part-time photographer. I have four amazing children, and a wonderful, supportive husband who are the joy and inspiration of my life and my business. I am a lover of family, pets, fun and photography. My enthusiasm for photography started 8 years ago with the birth of my second child. I started my business in 2011 and it has been a wonderful journey. I love to meet new people, make children laugh, capture the beauty and innocence of new life, and share my passion for photography with others. I strive to capture images that will help you remember those fun, happy, special, beautiful, and precious moments in life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? Building a studio that has all the right equipment and all the props to make all my clients happy was my main struggle.
It took me years to design and collect everything but now I am facing another struggle… no space.
My studio is almost 1000sqf big but still not enough to hold all my props, clothing and equipment.
Please tell us about Tiana Creation. My photography business is my baby and my passion in life, I love working with my clients and capturing those precious memories for them to treasure for a lifetime. We design each photo session to fit the clients vision and style.
I have been specializing in newborn and family photography. I did many workshops and have learned from the best photographers in the industry on how to safely pose and handle the baby. My clients safety is always my first priority and you need to learn how to work with newborn babies. I adore working with babies and children.
I also love Maternity sessions, there is something almost magical about pregnancy and the mommy to be, it is a true miracle and one of the most cherished memories for the family.
What sets me apart is probably the quality of service and high quality of my work – my images.
I am a perfectionist , I plan every session even before the client steps into my studio. I also hand edit every image and being a graphics designers for over 20 years helps me edit them to perfection.
In photography business you have to be a good photographer , but you also need to compliment every picture with Photoshop editing to bring your vision to life. Not every photographers in my industry is a Photoshop experts and many outsource the editing part to offshore companies… which results in an inferior quality images and even images being stolen.
I am first a photographer – and then a designer, each of my images goes through an editing process to become perfect. I spend about 2-3 hours on every newborn session – but over 4 hours on editing the images from that session so my clients will receive the most beautiful images of their beautiful family…
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently? I wouldn’t change a thing, everything that I have learned on my photography journey makes me the photographer that I am today. In life everything is a lesson and that is how we learn to be the best we can be.
