Taylor Sanderson Photography - Portland Oregon

My name is Taylor Sanderson. I am the daughter of two professional photographers. When most children had dolls or toy trucks, I had hand-me-down cameras. As soon as I could walk, I was taking pictures, and I haven’t stopped since. Being a photographer isn’t just a job for me, it’s part of who I am. I love every part of being a photographer, especially when I can can capture a beautiful moment between people who love each other or travel to a spectacular destination. Recently I had a chance to do both. I was honored to be a part of a gorgeous, intimate wedding on Oahu, Hawaii. Rory and Aleksandra Appleton celebrated their love on soft sands and under the setting sun. The guest list included only parents, very close friends, and a couple of sea turtles.

My favorite moment was when Aleksandra and Rory surprised everyone by jumping into the warm ocean. There was just a slight hiccup when Aleksandra tripped on a rock and fell straight into the water. Luckily no one was seriously hurt, Rory picked her right up and they laughed it all off. It was such a joy to see this amazing couple have the time of their lives, frolic in the sand and waves, and shower each other with affection.

The sense of humor Aleksandra and Rory both share made everyone laugh through tears of joy during their vows. Their love is tender and genuine, and their wit is as sharp as the underwater rocks Aleksandra tripped on. They now have a beautiful baby boy named Rowan. Even though he hasn’t learned to talk yet, you can tell he has inherited his parents’ sense of humor because he is a champion funny face maker.

I am currently based in Portland, Oregon, busy capturing moments with my unique style. You can more of my work at TaylorSandersonPhoto.com, Instagram, and Facebook.
