I’ll never forget the first time I developed film in a dark room. I was in high school and I was simply amazed how images literally appeared before my eyes. It really made me think about how life is constantly changing and passing us by. But in photography, we get to freeze moments in time, a memory. This is what made me fall in love with photography.
I continued to take photography classes throughout college and loved every minute of it. I am a hybrid photographer meaning I shoot both film and digital photography. The coolest thing about my passion is that it turned into a career. I am now a full-time wedding photographer and business owner at Sweet Williams Photography.
I named my business after my Grandpa William because he truly inspired me to work hard and follow my passion. He always used to say, “Reach for the stars and when you get one, open your hand and give it away, because it is in giving that we find true joy.”
I LOVE my job because I get to work with amazing couples, travel, and celebrate marriage. There’s something about being a part of a wedding day that is so joyful. Yes, it is a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, and no weekends, but it is SO worth it when you are able to serve others.
I love weddings and every wedding is so unique. When people ask me my favorite part of the wedding day, it is 100% the ceremony. I cry every time! This wedding was one of my favorites because Julie and Sam wrote the most beautiful vows to one another. And this is why I love what I do because I get to be a part of the first day of a marriage. It seriously doesn’t get much cooler than that! <3
