Aloha, I am LaTasha Baldwin, the owner of Little Details, LLC an event planning company located in Maui. I not only service Maui, but neighborhood islands and the mainland. The business that I created – out of my passion for event planning and love to serve others – is a vehicle for me to release my creativity!
Little Details as its’ name suggests focuses on the details to make each and every event a success. We diligently listen to our customers to ensure their every wish is focused on and implemented. We strive for excellence and 100% customer satisfaction.
Over the years, we have planned many diverse events. The events include, strategic planning meetings, 8th Grade Career Fairs for a school district, celebration of life and weddings. One of our favorite events to plan was a recent wedding in Maui. There are two main reasons why this wedding was one of my recent favorites.
Just Maui'd
First, it was the client. I have been extremely blessed to have amazing clients. Thus, before I begin to gush over my recent client, I want to explain how I built the company. As I contemplated how I wanted to build my company I thought about my client’s experience. I wanted to build a company in which my clients felt like they were the only ones that existed or mattered. I also want them to feel that I have their best interest at heart. I pride myself on REALLY getting to know my clients so I can be an advocate for them. As their advocate, ensuring they have the event or in this case the wedding of their dreams. From the very first contact that I had with Barb and Doug, there was something special about these two. It was like I already knew them. They were both so down to earth, easy to talk to and were insanely in love with one another! We had so many laugh out moments on the phone that I KNEW this was going to be a very special wedding and client experience. Even in preparing for them coming to Maui, I wanted to be the first person to great them with Aloha once they landed. Thus, with two leis in tow, I welcomed them at the airport. They just have a light that beams from them as they are just good people!
Second, was the venue. The clients were renting a home in Kahana, Hawaii just steps from the ocean. The couple was a little apprehensive at first and thought they needed to select another venue. Once I visited the private home, I knew there was no other place that would give them the intimate and elegant wedding day celebration experience. The clients agreed to trust me on this and the day ended up exceeding their expectations as the location allowed them that elegant and laid back experience they craved.
Throughout the planning process, I felt like I gained two life-long friends. Normally, when clients plan their destination wedding on Maui, I plan the event and then fade into the back ground as they enjoy their honeymoon experience. However, with this client I wanted to meet them before they left the island to have dinner and hang out. I sent them a text to see if this was acceptable and they were so thrilled about dinner. Thus, a few days after their wedding, we had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants on the island. It was so much fun to see their faces beaming with love for one another as they reflected on their Maui wedding experience. We have both vowed to stay in touch and I now have two more friends for life!!!!!
