Hi, my name is Leon Borders and I'm the owner of Leon Borders Photography based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I'm primarily known as a wedding photographer, but I also photograph senior portraits and events. I've always been fascinated with people and it shows as my undergraduate degree is in Sociology. Relating to photography, the first question everyone wants to know is how long have you been a photographer. But considering I was going through a cabinet the other day and found a few rolls of remaining 35mm film, its hard to answer that question, seems like forever. And this is exactly the emotion I like to evoke in my images. A sense of timelessness that keeps you in the moment.
When asked of the most memorable session that I photographed, my mind raced faster than Vin Diesel's 1970 Dodge Charger in Fast and the Furious sequel. It seems like I have millions of favorites! So instead of selecting one out of a million, I selected my million and first (most recent), Amy's quinceañera. It's the perfect merger between everything that I photograph.

As if Amy's radiant smile wasn't enough to photograph, everyone shared the same excitement for her on her day. They seemed to all be this cinderella's personal cheerleaders. This cinderella's golden heels accented her dreamy pink gown with matching tiara.

Her ceremony took place on Fort Bragg at the Iron Mike Conference Center with an inviting gold and pink theme. Guests whom travelled from all over the world were welcome to exquisite shimmering decor, exceptional formal coursed cuisine, completed by a delicious cake topped with the number fifteen commemorating Amy's quince.

Amy's guests enjoyed the formal quince ceremony and dances. As they danced, the rooms energy and smiles were transmitted to me as I danced as I photographed the event.

Amy's quinceañera ranks near the top of any event that I've photographed as it shared similarities between the multiple genres of photography that I photograph. The clear relationship between wedding and portrait photography made documenting this grand affair seamless. With the amount of details and efforts put for into making this event unforgettable, it was exciting to ensure that all of these effort were protected allowing Amy and her family to remember this perfect day forever!
