Intimate Chalet Wedding With Hand-Made Details

Hey there, I’m Lindsay, the owner of Lindsay Miller Photography and long-time lover of Led Zeppelin, donuts, and Tarzan. My passion for photography began when I was young; stealing my parents film camera, taking photos of anything and everything (yes, even selfies). My favorite part about photography is capturing so many unique people in a variety of locations and I’m very grateful for the opportunity my clients give me to document their love.

One of those clients is Danny and Chase Zeller. I first met Danny and Chase while working Danny’s sister’s wedding the year prior. Soon after they were engaged, we met for a consultation at Glam Doll Donuts in Minneapolis, MN. We instantly bonded over donuts, cereal, and toying with the idea of opening our own cereal bar (don’t worry, I’m sticking to photography). Needless to say, an instant friendship was formed and I was ecstatic when they officially picked me to be their wedding photographer.

Danny and Chase were married in the Fall at Theodore Wirth Chalet located in Minneapolis in front of a beautiful fireplace. The intimate wedding was filled with personal touches that made it just as unique as they are.

Some of those personal touches included Danny’s dress, which was a combination of the boutique she worked at and her mom’s handiwork, her grandmother's head-crown from the 1920’s, and a bouquet made of cabbage and flowers from the local farmer’s market. Danny and her family hand decorated the entire venue themselves. Chase designed the seating chart and cut the wood slabs with his dad that was used for their donut display.

It’s a rare thing to capture such authentic love and I still can’t believe how lucky I was to be given the privilege to document their story in such an intimate way.

This journey has taught me a lot along the way including how to work with, direct, and pose clients, as well as how to run a successful business. I invest in this every day and I hope you decide to invest in me as well!
