Throughout my life, I've owned film cameras, instant photo cameras, and even point-and-click digital cameras. I've never owned, or thought about, a professional camera until I was working at Nintendo. I came across an employee's post one day, in which they were selling a Canon camera. I decided to purchase my first DSLR camera from them, that day!
Purchasing my first DSLR camera was, to phrase it figuratively, like jumping into a pool of opportunities! I set my new camera to Manual and I haven't looked back in years.

What I do in my spare time...
I'm a volunteer photographer for many causes, including; Lung Cancer Association, Arthritis Foundation, Come Walk With Me (Breast Cancer Association), and Marybridge Children's Hospital.
I've also had the chance to help a start-up modeling agency, "Women. The Franchise", where I met many models. Women. The Franchise, were kind, supportive, and helpful, as they lead me to improving my skills and techniques as a photographer.

What I am up to...
Recently, I went to the anime convention, Sakuracon. Sakuracon, brings out many people who dress up in Cosplay (costume play). The cosplayers work tirelessly in creating costumes to bring characters to life! With their dedication, patience, and attention to detail, they can create characters from anime, video games, cartoons, movies, and more! The amount of work they put into these outfits, is absolutely incredible!
Here are just some of my absolute favorite photos that I shot this past convention:

My favorite thing about photography...
One of the many things that I absolutely love, is editing my photos. I use a combination of Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, and my imagination! I create photos that embody the atmosphere of each character that I work on.
In the examples below, I have created Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), using a transmutation circle, causing flames to shoot up around. Midna (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess), appearing to stand in her home world, the world of Twilight. Raven (Teen Titans), hovering mid-air, casting spells that she holds in her hands.

I haven't edited a lot of photos, like the above ones, as I am still learning to use Photoshop professionally. I am, however, taking classes through Shaw Academy to learn even more.
Here's to my future, where I look forward to pursuing my passion and love for photography, developing my skills every step of the way!
