I downloaded several free library-card templates from various sources for my wedding favors; I'm giving away slightly used and/or new books for favors as we're both lit-enthusiasts. With the freebies, I just wasn't satisfied with the quality of what I was finding available. Everything out there that was free was either too small/large, too blurry, or too basic/nothing special. I'm so glad I purchased this template for the small fee. The link to the download was emailed to me within seconds of purchasing. I used Adobe Professional to add text to the card (FYI - Courier New in Word is most like "typewriter like font" as a helpful hint) to the various fields, filling out Author/Title and putting various quotes about reading and literature within the Borrower's Name fields. The template is the perfect size, easy to cut out, and very clear. I love the different color options, too. The owl is small and not too childlike but sill could easily be versatile in a children's library. This will be a great, inexpensive touch and an easy DIY to implement at our wedding! I plan to keep and use the template to add to books that I give out as gifts in the future. Couldn't like it more!
