Options

  • Clear 15 mil vinyl (plastic) stock. Guests will need to use permanent marker for RSVP cards. This stock is prone to fingerprints and scratches, however; we do treat it with a scratch resistant (not proof) coating to help mitigate this. The frosted version of this stock will show significantly less fingerprints and scratches if this is a concern.
  • Frosted 15 mil vinyl (plastic) stock. This stock has the appearance of vellum, with a soft frosted look, but with the rigidity and feel of our traditional clear stock. Guests will need to use permanent marker for RSVP cards. This stock is prone to fingerprints and scratches, however; we do treat it with a scratch resistant coating to help mitigate this.

They are stunning but you should be able to change font color Posted on 12/6/2018
Very happy with purchase Review by Lucia
These clear wedding invitations were just what we were looking for! They were more affordable than they were on a few other sites we checked and they gave us equally as many elegant design choices.

There was usually a customer service representative ready to respond to any questions I had through a chat box on the bottom right. When I tried messaging them during off hours, someone replied to me via email within a few hours.

The quality of the stock was excellent. I could not have hoped for anything better, especially at a price comparable to regular wedding invitation paper. We personalized our envelopes by creating an address book on basic invite which was printed onto plain envelopes, making them look astonishing!

We did have a problem with the address book when it came to international addresses, but we just repeated the country or used United States as the country and the country as the state so that there wouldn't be a separate line.

The site was easy to use and the invitations were customizable. The layout of the text boxes was a tad funky though. With the clear invitations, I wasn't able to create or delete any text boxes so I just had to delete the text inside of them or adjust them. Moving them around was a little odd too. There were times when the text box was halfway across the invitation from where the actual text was. I tried making our invitations on 4 or 5 different designs so that we could decide which we liked best without guessing what it would look like. The save feature was perfect for this. I was able to go back and edit anything at any time. On top of that, my fiance was able to log in on his computer to check things out and add/check addresses in the address book before we submitted our order.

I was originally going to handwrite all of our invitations on hand cut acetate, but all of the 3 types of white markers I tried using kept skipping or were too thick to write all the details nicely and legibly Luckily, basic invite had so many options for us to choose from and the invitations turned out looking better than my original design. We were trying to avoid the extra cost of invitations (and my friends and family kind of expect me to do something crazy like handwrite all the invitations) but it was just going to take way too long my fiance suggested looking here! The cost at basic invite wasn't even comparable to other sites selling clear invitations. The base price here was about half what it was elsewhere so I figured we'll just use the already cut acetate for thank you cards, which will be less rushed, the font doesn't have to be as tiny, and easier since they're usually handwritten anyway!

We didn't upgrade our envelopes since we weren't originally going to order our invitations at all, but they came out beautifully on the default envelopes. We ordered about 125 invitations but only had addresses for about 110 so they sent us the other 15 with just the return address. We also received a blank envelope with our order (not sure what that's about?)

I gave 5 stars for every category because even with the graphics design and international address issues, there were so many tools at our disposal and when the invitations came in, they were breathtaking. We are so happy we chose to have them printed at basic invite!

Tl;dr
All in all the experience was great! The save feature was helpful, invitations were customizable, and envelopes were printed with addresses on them. All we had to do was stuff them, stamp, and send. The price was lower than other sites selling clear "acrylic"invitations. Posted on 10/20/2018

Loved the invitationsReview by Courtney
My wedding invitations were unique, elegant and within our budget. Having the envelopes printed with addresses saved us so much money. All of our friends and family were blown away by the clear acrylic. The price shocked them even more! Great, affordable and exactly what we wanted! Posted on 8/8/2018
