I ordered raised gold foil on a black Luxe Velvet paper. They look beautiful and the texture of the paper is stunning. I also love that they print the envelopes for you. I just wish they could trim the invitations to "pocket" size, even if you're not ordering a pocket.

I ordered a sample with the Luxe Velvet paper and the raised foil and the look is just stunning. The price is pretty reasonable and I love how easy it is to customize the design.

We did some shopping around on Basic Invite as well as the "other invitation sites" and ordered some of their samples. Although we liked some of the designs of the other guys, when we received this invitation with the rustic script foil, that made all the difference in the world for us.

The foil was a game changer for us because it really pops and makes the invitation so beautiful. We were fortunate that it came in rose gold (since our wedding colors are rose gold and navy blue). That combined with the rounded corners and design on the back made the invitations perfect.

I'd like to point out that on our sample, although we ordered rounded corners, the sample came with straight corners. But all it took was a simple email and Basic Invite immediately apologized and re-ordered the correct invitation with no cost and with express shipping.

Our experience with Basic Invite was amazing, and we're so glad they added the feature of the printed addresses on the envelopes. The cost was a little on the pricy side, but we found a coupon code online that helped a lot. We would absolutely recommend this site to everyone who's looking for a classic and elegant invitation.

I am so happy with the way that my invites turned out! They were exactly as I had hoped they would be. The entire process from design to payment was super easy and user friendly. The proofs were pretty dead on and I feel I received what I saw online prior to ordering. The free envelope printing was a huge time saver and obtaining family and friends addresses was super easy! Shipping time and pricing was reasonable. Would have loved to see a free shipping option with min. order quantity or min. spend. I would also have liked promo emails with different discount codes and exciting offers via email!
Overall I am completely satisfied and would absolutely recommend!
One small downfall of using the gold foil print when using a smaller font is that letters such as "e" and a" ended up looking somewhat like a round blob on the invitation. The gold print is raised and the font was too small to allow the gaps in those kinds of letters. Having paid for the additional review I would have appreciated this being pointed out and maybe a slightly larger font suggested to avoid this.
I would also like to see the option for round cards. I would like to place a "Thank you" note that match the invites for our family and friends on the charger plates that we will have at each place setting (8 inch round) however this is not an option with Basic Invite. I would love to have been able to order my invites and these round cards all in one place!
