Hello! My name is Stacy Golden and I own Golden Photography. I'm a Chicago area photographer with a studio based in Lake Zurich, IL. I've been photographing newborns, kids, and families since 2009.
While I love outdoor family and milestone sessions, for me, I feel drawn to the art of newborn photography. I love perfecting the details in my sessions so parents have those relaxed, peaceful images to forever cherish. My style is natural and neutral and I use little pops of soft, muted or sometimes monochromatic color in my newborn sessions. I also like a vintage, organic look to my images. For me, I like to keep the focus on the baby and use minimal props and accents to keep it that way. Of course I am a hoarder and I keep everything I need at the studio for my sessions, so families just have to show up (with the baby, of course). They can relax, make some coffee, or even nap while I work with their newest addition.
For non-newborn sessions, I love going outdoors and shooting during the golden hour to get that warm, glowing light that I chase after. When the fall colors come out, you better believe the light is extra magic. I love the natural warmth in my photographs!
With all of my sessions, I enjoy creating wall art with the photographs I have created! It's the "thing" I do that I feel helps to showcase photographs for each session. I love getting to know each family's style so that I can design something special for each of them. Truth be told, no two things I have designed have ever been the same because each family is different. Sometimes that means families want framed art, sometimes its canvas or wooden prints, and sometimes its a large wall gallery with a mixture of different sizes and materials. Printing and displaying photos is the way to ensure photographs will be enjoyed for decades to come rather than hiding digitally on a computer somewhere, so I am happy to offer this specialty service to each family I have the honor of photographing.
