Hey Everyone! My name is Chelsea Box, and I am a Lifestyle, Portrait, and Wedding Photographer based out of Montgomery, Alabama. I was so excited when I received an E-mail about writing a blog post for Basic Invite! I actually didn’t even know this site existed until they got in contact with me. After I started browsing around, I fell in LOVE with their products and everything that they had to offer. I call it my one-stop fall in love shop. So, I’m sure a lot of people are wondering, “Who are you”? Right? Well, I am the owner and photographer of Chelsea Box Photography, LLC. I formed a business about 6 years ago. When I was first starting out I had no clue what I was getting myself into. The only thing that I knew how to do was to create amazing props and come up with all of these great ideas! The rest I thought would take care of itself. However, there was a lot that I found out that I lacked. I lacked a lot of experience with digital cameras, lenses, and manual settings. This lack of experience is something that I knew deep down would not cut it in the real world of photography.
So, what did I do?
I started working at a local photography studio and learned all about posing techniques and lighting tricks that would help me photograph to the best of my ability. I started searching for blogs on the internet and even on YouTube. I even wrote a list of every best quality lens I could find! Finally, I found my passion. I became addicted to the “Making something Unique and Beautiful” aspect of photography. The social collaboration was just a HUGE plus when it came to the interaction with clients on a day to day basis. The bright and excited look in their eyes after they see their photographs for the first time is what motivated me and gave me a stronger determination when it came to turnaround time. What makes me happy is to see happy clients at the end of every session.
Now, enough about me!
Basic Invite asked me to share one of my favorite sessions. I have TONS of favorite sessions and it has been so difficult to just pick one. One session that made me excited. One session that brought so much joy to my eyes. One session that made me think, “Hey, I can do this!”. The session that I chose was an engagement session! This session was my shining moment when it came to editing. It was the session that turned everything dull into everything bright! I finally nailed it and captured what I wanted. Clear, soft, and bright photos with the help of my 50mm 1.4 Lens!
Now that I have overly expressed my emotions... here are a few previews from the engagement session that made me believe that I could truly do anything that I wanted to do with my photographs.
