An Ohio Summer Wedding at Brookside Farms

Lauryn and Chuck were married at Brookside Farms in Louisville on a Tuesday – the day before the Fourth of July. We can't say it enough, but their day just totally blew us away. Everything was just stunning. Our favorite detail was the black dresses and tuxes paired with all the soft neutrals. It was such a flattering combo that we haven’t stopped bragging about since!

After a morning of hair and makeup, mimosas and 90s jams, these two gathered with their closet family and friends in the little chapel on site. They had a string quartet to set the mood and exited as husband and wife through a sea of bubbles!

Their portrait and bridal party photos left our jaws on the ground. There was thunder and lightning all around us but we never saw a drop of rain and the light that the storm left us was beyond perfect – truly a photographers dream!

Lauryn + Chucks wedding was so special for us. We’ve said it a million times over, but the relationships that we’ve made through this whole gig are what it’s really all about. As if becoming friends with these two wasn’t enough, two of their bridesmaids also asked us to shoot their weddings, which was such an honor!

They celebrated in the barn with their closet family and friends and had the best party into the night. There was a DJ, a live band and a surprise appearance from Lauryns dad as he picked up the guitar and performed with the band during their first dance as husband and wife. They had barbecue for dinner and bacon and grilled cheese for a late night snack! #bowdown
