Jonathan Wright Photography

Hi! My name is Jonathan Wright. I really wouldn't know where to begin when speaking about photography, as it has been such a whirlwind. It has been much like a deep rooted relationship or friendship. You don’t always remember how it started, but you never see it ending, and that has been my exact experience! Photography truly came out the blue for me! My college degree was in public policy, and I was working as a sales coordinator at large telecommunications company! So it was VERY unexpected! Nonetheless, it has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding endeavors I have ever had the joy of experiencing.

After one random weekend of being stuck with a camera at a cousins birthday party, I was lost in the camera. It was the first time that I had ever used a DSLR and  I loved EVERYTHING about it, but most of all, I felt unexplainable intrigue with every picture I took. I wanted to know more and more and felt a strong desire to purchase my own! Oddly enough, the rest has been history. Photography has allowed me to experience what it means to have a true passion for something that you love. More importantly, it has further allowed me to find who I am and who I always wanted to be! I love couple and engagement/wedding photography! Love is one of the greatest gifts a human can experience, and I believe it is to always be captured! :) Connecting with others has always been extremely important to me, and capturing their memories is an incredibly heartfelt way I have been able to do that. Photography granted me that, and I am forever grateful! It reminds me that beauty lies in all things and all people. Its simply a matter of perspective and belief.

I can honestly say every session has a different energy, but they are all special in their own way! They have all shown me different things, and the beauty of what this world can offer! My favorite session however, is a gorgeous day of shooting that I did with a couple that is very dear to me! My best friend Joshua and his wife, Jessica, asked me to be their photographer, and I was flattered. I am a sucker for any love story and their session allowed me to help them tell their own. Cameras are special to me because they allow us to not only to see, but to feel. When you see an image, you want to feel something, and this session reminded me of that.
