Eva Rendl Wedding Photography

Hi there! Eva here. I am a Swedish photographer living on the stunning Greek Island of Santorini. Anyone who has visited here or even seen a photo will understand how lucky I feel to be able to use this incredible island as a backdrop for my photos.

After traveling here a little over 7 years ago, I fell in love and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I slowly built up my business as a wedding photographer, and now do a variety of shoots for honeymoons and engagements, parties, families, individuals, and weddings for locals and visitors alike.

I have a natural, romantic style to my photos, utilizing natural light and capturing my couples relaxed  and just enjoying the moment with each other. Santorini can be incredibly diverse, and I love to showcase that in my photography, whether it be a shot on the dramatic cliffs with the water below, under a pine or palm tree, on one of our black sand beaches, or with traditional whitewashed houses filling the background. A lesser-known fact about Santorini is the extent that we go to to capture the right angle in these cliffside villages - climbing on top of roofs, balancing on stairs, or leaning over walls to get the perfect shot! It's always an adventure, and every shoot is interesting and fun in different ways.

These photos are from an engagement shoot with Ark and Kat, a beautiful couple who were visiting Santorini from New York. I often like to take my couples out of the hustle and bustle of the busy town to quieter villages for a more intimate shoot. The village of Imerovigli is one of those that has it all - cliffside houses overlooking the dramatic caldera below, but is still quiet enough to be able to move around and get gorgeous, uninterrupted shots.

One of my favorite parts of this session was the intimate balcony setting with the shade of the Greek olive tree. - under which Ark had proposed to Kat just a few days before! The day was filled with so much happiness, excitement, and love. Being able to memorialize that spot for them was so special, and one of the many reasons I love what I do.
