Wedding at the Forest Highlands Golf Course in Flagstaff, Arizona with Jessica & Nick
When I met with Jessica to talk about her wedding, the first thing she told me about was her beautiful invites and her cake! From that moment on I knew I had to photograph her wedding! Besides her exquisite taste in all of the details for the wedding she chose the Forest Highlands Gold Course with stunning views and a big cozy cabin to get ready in!
Hair and make up by Jerry Watkin a local artist from Sedona, AZ. Flowers by Samyo Shannon Talk of the Town Events and Decore. Wedding cake by Jackie Caughey.
Besides having a beautiful backdrop for getting ready photos, Jessica also had wonderful ideas for locations to take the Bride and Groom portraits!
I shared with Jessica a little bit about my story and my connection to photography. "I fell in love with photography when I was 12 years old. I snuck into my big sisters room found her film SLR camera and took photos around her room! I received my own hand-me-down film camera soon after. I was completely inspired by it! I took photos around my hometown Sedona, Arizona and on family trips to Europe and around the country. I enrolled in every photo course available to me at that time."
After receiving my BFA in Photography from Arizona State University in 2013, one thing was very clear to me, my best work always included family, friends, couples and the relationships between them. The viewers could see how I felt about family and the subtle nuances that happen between family, friends, and couples inside or outside their home environments. Of course, wedding photography fit right into the picture ;) so I pursued wedding and family photography as my dream job!
Turning my attention back to the bride: I was delighted to hear Jessica's love story. Nick and Jessica met in Flagstaff through a mutual friend. Once they started dating the adventures never stopped! They moved to beautiful places around the world like Alaska, San Francisco, and Hawaii. They experienced a very wild but also rich and beautiful time together. Finally home called them back to Flagstaff and it was time to celebrate their relationship with marriage.
I am so grateful to have captured their entire day that they will now remember for the rest of their lives! Please visit my website and social media for more photography!
