Before I had a digital camera, I would buy disposable cameras for anything and every event- camp, birthdays, family, etc. It has always been valuable to me to capture memories through still photos- even if I didn't understand it at the time.

When my parents got me a Nikon point-and-shoot for my thirteenth birthday, I found my love for the art and science in photography. By the end of high school, I was using my passion in Yearbook and started my business taking senior portraits and family sessions. It's amazing to look back at these years where my interests turned into a passion. Now, I get to photograph couples, families and places in the US and even in other parts of the world!

One of the most memorable weddings I photographed was a destination wedding in Jamaica at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa.

To start, the bride did an incredible job "planning from a distance." The floral bridesmaid dresses and yellow roses were perfect. The pop of color against the lush green vegetation and white architecture was striking.

The ceremony was intimate. Being a destination wedding, only certain friends and family were able to make the trek to Jamaica. But this made for a beautiful moment between the couple and the few in attendance.

The reception was a party. The joy in the room was radiating.

The evening ended with a surprise Reggae concert from local musicians and dancers.

But my absolute favorite part of any wedding, is interacting with the couple. Gabe and Keveisha were obviously smitten with each other and the entire wedding day was filled with laughter and fun.

It was an honor to be a part of the small few invited to this destination wedding. Like all weddings, I don't take lightly the responsibility of capturing these precious moments.
