april workshop headshots-166 I love being a wedding photographer. There is nothing better than being able to capture a couple's big day, the start of a new life together, and the landmark moments when two families become one. Not only are you part of one of the most memorable days of their lives, you're in charge of documenting those memories!

I could never get into shooting landscapes. For me, it's all about people! The sparkle in their eyes, the way their personalities come through my lens, the challenge of capturing a genuine smile or a candid moment. That's what it's all about.

This wedding was very special. Justin is in the Air Force, and had been stationed in Korea for two years, so he and with Katie back here in Massachusetts, they'd only seen each other occasionally in all that time. With Justin home from Korea for 10 days before they would both move to Hawaii to Justin's new station, they took the opportunity to celebrate with all their family & friends.

It's a unique situation in this world to love and feel passionately about what you do for work, and I feel incredibly grateful to have found that thing for me! Working with people and giving them beautiful photos to document their lives and the passions that drive them makes me feel so fulfilled.
