Sophia Shay Photography

There is nothing better than photographing a High School Senior. There is a great sense of adventure and uncertainty that is present every time I meet an excited upcoming graduate. I love to talk with each of my Seniors before the session begins to get a sense of their style, their likes and dislikes, their ideas and their personality. This really helps me create a vision on how they are expecting their photos to look in the end.

I start each session following the light. I love to use the natural light whenever possible, I do however bring my own light as well so that I can manipulate the light to work for me and my camera. Hannah wanted fall, outdoors and trees. She was shy at first but then became alive once she got use to how I pose and the camera just fell in love with her and she became more confident. This session was so refreshing for me, usually the fall in Utah means family sessions NON-STOP, but when I received a call from her dad requesting a senior session for his beautiful daughter, I just knew i had to fit her in my schedule. I am so glad i did!
