This is the gothic Halloween wedding in Nashville / Springfield TN. of Nick and Alexandra. They started off as friends and later became high school sweethearts, and here we are :)
My name is Jay Farrell, of Jay Farrell Photography I'm a Nashville, TN. based documentary / photojournalist style wedding photographer. How is this different from other Nashville wedding photographers and wedding photographers in general? True documentary style hinges on capturing raw and natural emotion. This means portraits and group formals are done in limited capacity. More effort is put into the natural candid aspect of wedding photography. More observing, no orchestrating, raw storytelling.
Venue - The Russell House, Springfield TN. The Russell House is a restored Victorian mansion with some amazing features, including one of the nicest bridal suites and spiral staircases I've seen. The owners were very gracious accommodating the Halloween / gothic themed decor to compliment the ambience of their venue. I don't think Nick and Alli knew just how brilliant of a job they did with this magnificent wedding. It was unique and fun!
Here are some bridal getting ready candids. Alexandra's dress was custom made by a designer on Etsy. I've never seen one like it.
Here are a few of Nick and his cohorts getting ready, looking quite dapper.
Nick patiently waiting for showtime, the ceremony would soon begin.
In the final moments before the ceremony, Alli has a moment with her father, I think she may have been on his case for sneaking a smoke. You can even see a few gentle rain drops to fit the mood of the day.
It wouldn't be a Halloween wedding without a dark and moody candlelit ceremony, it was beautiful. The officiant was Stephen Seymour www.unforgettableceremonies.net .
I will close this out with a few photos of the reception and festivities of the evening. I hope you've enjoyed this magnificent and unique Halloween wedding.
