Lindsey Romo Photography

Hi Friends!

I am a natural light, story telling, adventurous wedding photographer based out of North Carolina currently, but I travel wherever needed. Sometimes it feels strange to call what I do a "business" when my photography is an extension of my heart. I have so much fun doing it! Wedding photography has led to many epic experiences like dog sledding on a frozen lake, taking a tiny Cessna across the snowy covered state of New York, sailing to an island, exploring historic cities, hiking mountains and so on!

This shoot was an impulse decision made by myself and the bride Cammi, who lives in the Charlotte, NC area. We met for a consultation in August and I asked her if she wanted an engagement session as part of her wedding package. She told me her fiancee is her childhood sweetheart and is stationed in Colorado Springs. Soon he would be deploying, to be overseas their entire engagement until shortly before their wedding in NC, in April. I found myself blurting out, "do you want to go to Colorado and do your engagements???" She thought I was joking. Within 2 weeks we were flying out to where Josh is stationed.

Our beautiful location is called Garden of the Gods, a stunning park in Colorado. This was the type of setting that makes my heart skip a beat.

I work very hard at making my couples feel at ease so that their personalities are reflected in their photographs. With Josh and Cammi, it was no struggle to laugh and joke and enjoy climbing all over this beautiful park.

There's many things a photographer can say about themselves and it sounds pretty cliche but when I say that I am fully invested in my work and my clients, I really mean it. One of my best friends was initially my bride first. I really believe that having a natural connection with your photographer is a big part of what makes successful wedding photography, that authentic feel. By the wedding day, it is not uncommon that I see my couples as friends and may have met for coffee or drinks just because. It means everything to me to know they have let me into their world and trust me to create a gorgeous capture of this pivotal time in their lives. Because of this relationship we build, I have belly laughed, and has tears stream down my face at weddings. I take what I do so personally.

This session combined some of my favorite things: love, photography and adventure! After 8 years I treasure the memories I've made and can't wait to see what's next! If you would like to view my fine art shop, please visit my Etsy shop here!
