A Fall Engagement Session

1025

I am a wedding photographer from a small town near Dayton, Ohio, where corn fields and cows outnumber the people. I love Jesus, I'm a wife, animal lover, traveler, bookworm, avid tv watcher and sweets addict. Most days you can find me drinking coffee, laughing with friends & family, shopping at Goodwill, and snuggling on the couch with my husband, Brant (my second shooter) and our dog, Paisley.

My photography style has been described as, "Natural, bright and fun." I like to direct my clients instead of posing them, so that everything feels more organic. I love capturing the "in-between" moments; A laugh, a glance or that second right before a kiss, when the eyes close. These moments would otherwise go unnoticed, but if you anticipate and time them perfectly you can document them, so that they can be remembered forever.

During engagement sessions I get to know the bride and groom in a more casual way before their wedding. I include a complimentary engagement session with my wedding collections, because an engagement session helps the couple feel relaxed in front of the camera. I also like to make each session unique to the couple and their love story, so their personalities shine through the images.

This adorable couple knew each other growing up. They were both in 4-H and their families stayed next door to each other at the county fair. They both grew up on farms, they love to travel and hiking. Eric proposed to Cara, on top of a mountain, while they were on vacation in Boulder. How romantic!

I photographed their engagement session at Carriage Hill, a beautiful historical farm, because it was so fitting for them. I love the warmth of this lovely fall session, from their sweet embraces to the love in their eyes.
