Hi, my name is Karea and I'm the Owner/Photographer of Forever Kareart, based in one of the greatest places on Earth---Richmond, Virginia! When I was little, my father introduced me to a camera. These days, I have a hard time wanting to put the camera down. I started Forever Kareart in 2013 and had no idea this journey would take me to where I am today. I've since met some wonderful people and have photographed in various parts of Virginia, as well as destination weddings in Jamaica, Atlanta, Florida, and Maryland. One of my more recent weddings was photographed at The Barns at Timberneck, in Surry Co. Virginia. The venue is beautiful and you must check it out when you have the time! Sabrina, a wonderful friend and photographer, assisted me with the shoot.

Hey ya’ll!! My name is Kendra and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer from the small, yet quaint town in Southwest Virginia. When I was asked to share my work I was so honored! I am blessed beyond measure to do what I love and be a part of so many new loves, new lives, and new beginnings, it is truly a treasure I hold so very close to my heart! To me, photography is life!  It is my opportunity to leave a lasting impression and legacy of my client’s lives for generations to come.  Saying I am privileged to do this for a living is an understatement and I never take one second of it for granted!

Ok; time to be completely transparent…YIKES!!

Beginning my journey in photography was a turning point in my life.  My husband and I started our family at a very young age and honestly, had struggled financially for many years.  We found ourselves brainstorming for ways to generate extra income and one day the idea just hit me like a ton of bricks…”I should start a photography business…I’ve always been good at taking photos” I said to my husband.  He eagerly but nervously agreed.  Shortly after, I purchased my first DSLR professional camera and off I went.  I began by asking friends and family to shoot with me to help build a portfolio and started to post them on my personal Facebook page.  To my surprise; I received numerous calls and messages asking little ole me to take photos for them.  I never would have imagined that I could be what I am today, a successful wedding and portrait photographer, wow I’m still blown away by it all!

Photography is my escape, it is my artistic view of life, and it is my passion.  I am truly blessed and thankful everyday to share my God given talent and for the opportunity to meet so many amazing people!
