I'm very fortunate for the last 9 years I've operated THPHOTO, to live in such a place. There's endless scenery that I NEED to keep my creativity fresh and the people that I get to photograph turn from clients to friends easily. I've been told I have a very relaxing vibe that helps put people at ease, which is especially helpful when you photograph weddings or events that can have high stress rates for others.
I photograph about 6-8 weddings a year. It's so much easier to take on the amount of work involved with weddings when you're not doing 30-40 a year and are working almost every weekend. It's given me the ability to perfect my shooting/editing process and be able to turn around a wedding within a week most times. It also doesn't burn me out of doing weddings like it would if I did it full time. Finding inspiration can be hard and it's always good to put limits on the work that takes a lot of you so you can give your clients everything they deserve.
The Winery also offers a luxurious rental guest house, convenient for bridal parties to prepare for the wedding in the days before or for the party afterwards!
We were also fortunate enough to have a day after session which is always a plus; not having to deal with the stress of the wedding day and entertaining guests. In my opinion every couple should try it, they'll be your favorite most relaxed portraits!
Set in the lower Poconos of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Blue Ridge Winery https://www.blueridgeestatewinery.com/ was the backdrop for an intimate ceremony joining the two families of Loriann and Guy for this winery wedding photographed by https://www.thphoto.co/.
