Not always are engaged couples eager to fool around during their engagement sessions, and even less often they are lucky to find a cool location to dream up some truly unique and hysterical engagement photos. It started with the bride's mom phone call. She knew some of my past wedding clients and enthusiastically recommended her daughter to look at Zorz Studios portfolio. Then followed an in-person consultation with the awesome mom in presence, and the wedding package deal was sealed. Don't you love such moms? She was my best rep during the presentation. :)

Photography has been a passion of mine since I found an old polaroid in my parent's hall closet as a kid. I've always loved to document, and I love to feel every experience I have to the fullest. As I grew up, I traveled and became a journalist. Photography became a way for me not only to report, but it continued to be a way for me to experience the world.

AN AFTERNOON SPENT WITH AN AMAZING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR
The air of excitement in photographing a high school senior is always contagious. The hope in their eyes, the smile on their face & confidence in their stance is unmistakable. They have achieved so much in the last 4 years. This is their time to shine.
I love celebrating them, just as they are. I encourage all of my high school clients to wear what they love, what they feel most comfortable in. I encourage them to dress up, dress down, bring accessories or keep it simple. I ENCOURAGE THEM TO BE THEMSELVES
When scheduling a senior session, I talk with my clients about some of their "favorite things." We discuss their favorite styles, places, hobbies, etc. This allows me to customize their sessions around who they really are. I feel this is a very important aspect in helping them feel comfortable in their own skin. AFTER ALL, THEY HAVE EARNED IT.
During the photo session, I make it a priority for my clients to feel comfortable & most importantly to have fun! My sessions are real, honest & filled with laughter. During a typical session, you can catch me running around, climbing up on things, laying on the ground & doing whatever I can to put my clients at ease while achieving those custom shots to ensure that their photos are truly unique, just as they are.
I feel that the senior year of high school is a life experience to be remembered & treasured.
One of the main reasons I am so passionate about ensuring each senior session is unique is so when they look back on their senior photos they are reminded of exactly who they were at that particular time in their lives; evoking wonderful memories to be shared with others.
As a child, I remember looking at photographs with my grandparents and feeling their emotions as they shared special photographs of their younger years. I feel those are timeless memories that should be treasured. I feel that through photographs amazing stories can be remembered & retold.
I am honored to have been asked by Basic Invite to write a blog about a recent session. Thank you for taking the time to read AN AFTERNOON SPENT WITH AN AMAZING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR. I am passionate about my career in photography & I am grateful for the opportunity to share the stories of peoples' treasured memories through my photographs.
