Photography has always been a passion and after a decade on this absolutely amazing journey, it still is. We've documented many incredible events, traveled places, expanded our horizons and met people who touched our lives in the most genuine way possible. But most importantly, we were able to grow both personally and professionally alongside our clients and their families. For us, it is not just the images we capture, it is all about the connection we make with our subjects when we photograph them, and long-term relationships that we build with our clients. Seeing their life stories unfold in front of our eyes and being able to capture these major milestones is priceless.

We wandered around downtown for an hour, acting every bit the excited tourists. Aimee, an Asheville native, expertly navigated us through the bustling city. I'm a casual person all around, and that definitely shines through in my work. We walked, bearing no particular vision in mind aside from the known weather forecast. With the possibility of rain, I suggested an umbrella. She showed me the best restaurants, and I told her she reminded me of Avril Lavigne. The usual. And that's why this has been one of my favourite shoots. Everything came very naturally. The dreary overcast sky provided even light. Aimee Oakes is an experienced young model.  Asheville is a colourful mini-metropolis. I like firing my camera at anything that moves. And so, our impromptu photography session flowed together quite nicely.
