After 20 plus years as a high school history teacher I know that I love teenagers and work well with them. So after that last school bell rang for me I decided to jump all into something I had been passionate about since high school.  Becoming a full time photographer has been an amazing journey. One of the many perks of my dream job is that I still get to work with kids!  It is such an exciting point in a persons life - Senior Status! I have never met a family that regretted the time and investment put into a Senior Session.

I always hold my breathe a bit after asking the question, "Do you have a location in mind?" I am holding my breath because I'm excited to hear if they have a suggestion or if I get to make one. I am equally excited about shooting in the lush woods, city, gorgeous beaches or at someone's beautiful home.

I love adventure!  I live in the breath-taking Northwest so there is no shortage of beautiful scenery! I'm often found exploring new trails, streets and alleyways looking for my next location. I love the process of scouting a location before the actual shoot so I don't waste anyone's time wandering.

My goal for each session is a relaxed and enjoyable time. One of the compliments I receive the most is how I captured the seniors personality in the pictures. I believe that can only be accomplished when the senior has a chance to get to know me a bit, relax and trust what I'm doing while knowing they have a voice in the process.

I enjoy meeting with the senior before our session. That meeting gives me the opportunity to get to know them by asking questions, listening and finding out what is important to them and what they are excited about. Each session is then blogged on my website where I share some of the information I learned along the way, while showing off a sneak peak of our session.

Ultimately my goals are deliver quality through gorgeous, sharp photos which are delivered quickly to each client.

I want the real, the giggles, sometimes the tears, and often the messy. And honestly, you probably do too. These are the moments you want to remember, the moments that portray who your littles really were as littles, or the moments that truly capture the intimacy of your wedding day. The moments that will make your heart swell in years to come. Yes, we can absolutely try for that perfect family portrait, or perfect wedding party pose, but if it doesn't happen, your little family, your wedding was perfect anyway.
