Welcome! My name is Julie Larson from Julie Michelle Photography in St Paul, MN. I'm thrilled to have recently partnered with Basic Invite to give my clients unique and stylish options to share their photos with family and friends.

I was asked to share some images from one of my favorite sessions and it was tougher than it sounded. I know it sounds cliche, but I really do think that each session is so different and unique. I meet all kinds of people, each with a different story, a different path and it's so fun to get to know each person and who THEY are. From family sessions to maternity, generational photos or the kids growing up and exploring their world, it excites me to step out of my world and capture theirs.

So when thinking of a favorite, I just had to share a few from Morgan's session! She is involved in so many activities and her magnetic personality made this shoot a blast. From the Miss Ambassador program to Ski Team and LaCrosse (which she will be getting a scholarship from) to a girl who just loves her dog... this session really captures her personality and charm.

High school seniors are one of my favorite groups to work with. I think because of the challenge. I would say that the majority of teens are not interested in doing the shoot and mom or dad are making them get their portraits taken for graduation announcements.  But once I can break the ice and hear from them who THEY are and what THEY like, it amazes me how much they open up!

My advice to parents of high school seniors is to step back and let your teen interact with their photographer. Be there to support them but allowing space will give you less fake and forced smiles and more genuine emotions. Although I can't promise you won't get that one eye-roll photo (that you'll laugh about years later).

Hi there! My name is Julie from Engage Me Photography and I am so happy to share some of my work with you!  Being a wedding photographer wasn't initially what I had planned on doing but my love for my clients and seeing all of the emotion of the day pour out during a wedding has me hooked.

It was difficult to choose just one wedding to share images from but this one just brings such a smile to my face, so I wanted to share a few. These two melted my heart with their genuine love and almost child-like excitement. It's hard to hold back my own cheesy grin looking at these.

I love when I get to spend the entire day with my couple. There is something so surreal about the getting ready routine on the day of your wedding. The excitement. The jitters. The anxiety. The elation. The dream day... is finally here!

All of the details that you've carefully planned out are all coming together.  Remember how much time you spent carefully picking out the perfect flowers, invitations, centerpieces, and signature drink? As your photographer, I love that you thoughtfully planned this because I can capture it all!

Mike and Anne's small ceremony of close family and friends at their backyard wedding in Minneapolis, MN was so colorful and elegant. It was breathtaking to see them exchange their vows between giggles and tears. These are moments that are such an honor to freeze for my clients to have and to share with family and friends. I love seeing their playful side and pure joy as I relive their wedding day in these photographs.

I am so grateful for finding my niche and for all of the new friends that I've made by being allowed to be a part of their wedding day. It is an absolute honor!

Hi everyone! We’re Caitlin and Luke Photography, and we are a husband and wife wedding photography team based in Central Illinois! Caitlin started our business back in high school, and back then, she never expected to fall in love with weddings the way she did. She shot her first solo wedding the week after she graduated high school, and as they say, the rest is history. Luke had always been passionate about photography, too, which is actually part of how we met. When we got engaged, we made the leap and rebranded ourselves as a husband and wife team in early 2015 as Caitlin & Luke Photography. We’ve never looked back!

We just got married in June of 2016, so we totally can relate to how all our couples feel leading up to their wedding and on their best day ever. Wedding photography is much more than our full-time job; it’s a calling and an honor to play such an intimate role in a wedding day. We build authentic friendships with our couples, we believe wholeheartedly in marriage, and we deeply value the legacy of wedding photos!

Our brand is unique because we approach weddings differently than other wedding photographers do. By the time our couples’ wedding days arrive, we are really close friends with our clients. That makes the day run much more smoothly, and it also allows us to serve our clients even better on their wedding days! As we shoot wedding days, we are constantly keeping our couples’ love stories in mind and paying attention to every little thing going on on that day so that we can photograph it in the most meaningful way possible.

We are wedding photographers because we believe in the legacy of love. We know that someday, when our couples have gray hair and have lived a lifetime together, they can hold their grandkids and point to the engagement photos still framed on their wall to show them what Grandma and Grandpa looked like when they were young, planning a wedding and brand new to being in love. They can flip through their worn, leather wedding albums on their 50th anniversary and remember the day it all began. Through their photos, they can see who they were, feel the way they felt back then, remember the long since forgotten details, and be reminded of the sweet and innocent love they started out with. We’re wedding photographers because somewhere, someday, a little girl will find a bridal portrait of her great, great, grandma grandma who she never knew, yet whom she can now have a small connection with. We do what we do because we get to create that legacy for generations after us. 

We would describe our style as joyful, authentic, and enduring. We're convinced our couples are the sweetest EVER, and more than anything, they're overjoyed to be marrying their best friends. We pose our clients in a way that allows our couples to feel natural and interact in a real way. Our images will stand the test of time and still look as classic in 50 years as they do our couples receive them. One of our all time favorite and most memorable weddings was definitely that of our couple Emilee and Cody in the fall of 2016! This day included a gorgeous outdoor ceremony setup, the sweetest first look ever, gorgeous details, and of course plenty of Midwest fall colors. October weddings are some of our absolute favorites, and this sweet day was no exception!
