Throughout my life, I've owned film cameras, instant photo cameras, and even point-and-click digital cameras. I've never owned, or thought about, a professional camera until I was working at Nintendo. I came across an employee's post one day, in which they were selling a Canon camera. I decided to purchase my first DSLR camera from them, that day!

Purchasing my first DSLR camera was, to phrase it figuratively, like jumping into a pool of opportunities! I set my new camera to Manual and I haven't looked back in years.

I always liked photography before i became a photographer. I was a pre- school teacher and I would always be the one taking pictures of the kids doing projects with them. Every time I would take a trip anywhere, I would take pictures. One day my parents came home with my first camera-- I was so happy. I started to take pictures at family and friends' parties. From there my passion grew even more. I started with small wedding jobs. I am always learning new ways to take pictures-- new techniques. Looking at my work inspires me to get better. My parents are my inspiration; they always encourage me to become better at what I do. Being a photographer is more than just clinking a button; its capturing those special moments for my clients. Moments that will only happen once and seeing the results I get it only makes me more passionate and with their help my dream came true to have my own photography business. a family business. love to be part of peoples special moments their wedding day ,their little girls sweet 16, when i see the end results on my work after all the hard work i put in and seeing my clients reaction when they see the final product that's when i feel i have met my goals because my clients are the most important to me . Every time i take a picture is a new way for me to be creative every client is different i have had my sweet 16 girls that have been dancers and capturing them at the right time is what makes the picture that expression, when i capture the groom looking at his bride for the first time that moment is priceless.

I'm very grateful to have an amazing job that really doesn't feel like a job! its so fun! every time is different and unique.

I would like to share Andres and Monica Wedding Day

    Hi Basic Invite readers!

My name is Ryan Greenleaf and I am a wedding and portrait photographer based out of Downtown Sacramento, California. My style is a blend of photojournalism and fine art. I feel so lucky to live where I do because Lake Tahoe, Napa, and San Francisco are all within an hour and a half of me and provide a variety of beautiful backdrops when it comes to photographing weddings. It's sort of a photographers dream! While I love a good downtown wedding, I feel more at home when I'm out photographing in nature.
