There is something about late spring and early summer weddings that speak to me. It seems by February and March I'm dreaming of all things Spring, and running away to the beach to escape the ice, and slush, and brown stained snow. With Spring comes the lush and vibrant greens, the peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, tulips, scabiosas ( I know such a terrible name for such a pretty flower).  Some of my very favorites flowers that are available this time of year.  Not to mention the weather is seemingly perfect. Making it an ideal time to have a garden wedding.

Hello! My name is Brittany Jorgenson, and I am the venue director of Storybrook Farm in Jonesborough, TN. We are a small boutique wedding venue specializing in memorable micro wedding and elopement events. I love helping couples design unique and intimate occasions. Running a venue that also executes event concepts has given me an amazing opportunity to be a part of so many creative endeavors. The wonderful thing is that each event is always a personalized interpretation of a theme. No two weddings are ever exactly the same.

My wife, Michelle, started her photography business right out of high school. When we got engaged years later, I ended up joining her photography team. Together, we have photographed over 500 weddings in countless venues all over Chicagoland. We both have a special passion for capturing candid moments--the little details and small interactions throughout the day that could never be planned or recreated. It's our job to make time standstill, and we take that job very seriously. Along with our love of photojournalistic photography, we have always had an interest in Chicago's architecture which is why we always appreciated being able to walk into so many different venues all across the city--some with a preserved history and others with a brand new, modern take on design.
