One of the many aspects we adore when it comes to event + wedding planning is the creative freedom and ever-evolving fantasy of the design process. To bring a client's vision to fruition is something we pride ourselves on, knowing how much of an honor it is to be trusted with something so particular and personal. While we do love executing real wedding day design plans, we also have a passion for showcasing specific design through an aspect known to those in the industry as 'styled shoots'.
Let's delve more into what a styled shoot is, shall we? In short, a styled shoot is a mutually beneficial collaboration between event professionals/vendors with the intention to create and design a unique, never-been-done-before event setting with the end goal of publication or press. It is a way for entrepreneurs to let their innovative and inspirational juices unleash at an unlimited capacity. We are sharing one of our very treasured projects with you today, keep reading for the delicious details!
Sometimes in this whirlwind of an event world, you meet people who you instantly vibe with - and it is AWESOME. After some time of girl crushing on Lauren Renee's perfectly curated Instagram feed and fine art photography aesthetic, we reached out to inquire about partnering on a summertime styled shoot. With our name not quite yet established in the Pittsburgh puddle of planners, we can not thank this lady enough for taking the risk to take on such a project with us in the very early phase of our planning careers. Together, we mapped out the idea of an intimate wedding setting at a private estate that reflected classic + timeless style paired with understated sophistication and chic conception. It was important to us for these images to tell a story, while still stun you with each individual take.
Our story features a ceremony scene, comprised of a dreamlike draped chuppah with delicate florals and greenery. This simple, yet statement statue served as an ideal photo opportunity - alone and as a beautiful backdrop for our Mr & Mrs. Moving on from the ceremony scene, we designed a tablescape that left you breathless by its uncomplicated, organic elegance. The piece de resistance presented on the table is the custom-made china by New York artist, Nicole Pilar, reflecting an earthy element to our minimalistic, yet ageless tabletop. From there, you watch as the couple enjoys the gorgeous estate grounds - with captures of the fresh scenery and early 1900s architecture. The compilation of these components provide airy, ethereal and romantic responses exactly intended by our creative team.
It was an honor and pleasure to curate, create and customize a design project that was built by so many passionate souls and spirits. The rewarding feeling that comes with a venture like this is undeniably satisfying - not only with your team, but also with yourself. We hope you enjoyed browsing through some of the inspiring images from our Sweet Serenity Styled Shoot, let it provoke the passion inside of you to pursue and build a design that makes you feel fulfilled - whether it is for your next event or everyday life!
With love,
