  • Rustic Ohio Wedding

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Neuenschwander, owner of Ashley's Photo Designs LLC of Northwest Ohio. I am a pretty ordinary person; a lover of books, adventure, thriller movies, renovating houses, and my two adorable pit bulls. Coming down to it, my business would not have existed if it weren't for my dad. He always had a DSLR growing up and captured memories as we traveled and the holidays came and went by. One summer day I was bored as a seventeen year old and picked up the camera to photograph nature. I instantly got interested and that very day I started a Facebook page and took a huge leap of faith. I'm not one to step outside of my comfort zone (except for doing crazy things that give me an adrenaline rush!), but I had so much support and encouragement. Little did I know that at 22 years old I would be photographing 10+ weddings a year! I am so very blessed to do something I'm passionate about, especially with my husband as my second shooter and interpreter. Yes, you read that right - I speak a foreign language.. American Sign Language that is. :) I was born profoundly Deaf and am the third generation in my family to be Deaf. There are trials and challenges, but I wouldn't have it any other way and I truly believe it makes me a better photographer. Usually I'm the one surprising clients when they meet me, but they have surprised me so many times with knowing some sign language. I am so grateful to have a job that gives me the opportunity to continuously meet new people! Clients have become friends, and I always feel incredibly honored they trust me enough to capture the biggest days of their lives, their families as they grow up, or their senior before they go off to venture through life.

  • Kiyah C Photography - Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Hey! My name is Kiyah and I'm the destination and Atlanta wedding photographer behind Kiyah C Photography. I'm a daydreamer, a dessert lover, and a storyteller. I yearn to tell memorable, emotional, and joy-filled stories of love and adventure through photographs.

After years of documenting my everyday life with my first digital camera, I photographed my first Atlanta wedding at The Swan Coach House in 2014. That day, I fell in love! My couple chose and trusted me to capture one of the most beautiful and precious days of their life. My photography style is photojournalistic and emotional. I capture a wedding day as it unfolds, documenting all of the big and small details culminated into one breathtaking story of the wedding day.

One of my favorite wedding days was Brittany & Phillip's December wedding at Deercreek Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida. There was no shortage of tears, laughter, and that good Florida sunshine, all of which I love. Brittany shared a first look with her dad and everyone in the room was brought to tears as he couldn't stop crying and hugging his daughter. More tears came from Phillip as he watched Brittany walked down the aisle toward him.

After their beautiful ceremony, Brittany and Phillip were able to soak in all of their "just married" feels as we walked around the venue for their portraits. Their guests enjoyed a brunch reception (my favorite!) and a whole lot of dancing before sending the couple off.

Witnessing and photographing so many beautifully genuine emotions throughout this wedding day is what truly made it one of my favorites. Brittany and Phillip welcomed me as more than just another wedding day vendor, but as a friend. And that made my job feel less like work and more like bliss.

As an Atlanta wedding photographer, my favorite weddings to photograph are simple, colorful, unique, and emotional. They are held outdoors or in aesthetically pleasing indoor venues. They are full of elements that the couple handpicks and that express who they are, not just what's trendy or popular. My favorite couples are spontaneous, creative, and laid-back. They value scheduling their wedding day around natural sunlight because they fully trust me as an artist, photographer, and friend. I also have an insane sweet tooth, so yummy desserts at the reception are a plus.

I also treasure the opportunity to capture intimate weddings and elopements because there is so much beauty in a small wedding day! When a couple and just a handful of their loved ones gather to celebrate, I feel especially honored to be their photographer.

Even though I'm an Atlanta wedding photographer, I've had the opportunity to photograph weddings throughout the US. In 2016, I photographed couples in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington state. In 2017, I'll be traveling to California, Rhode Island, and North Carolina to tell even more love stories. Wherever my couple is getting married, I will be there to laugh, cry, and celebrate with them. No destination is too far!

  • Awaken Photography

Hey friends! My name is Lauren Watne (top) and I am the cofounder of Awaken Photography, along with my twin sister Sarah (bottom). We have been having a blast with photography for four years and have absolutely loved the journey it has taken us on.

Our love of photography came at a very young age when our parents bought us our first digital camera. We took so many photos of each other that people thought we didn’t have any other friends. We had so much FUN doing what we loved. Eventually this transitioned into senior portraits, then engagement, anniversary, and baby announcement shoots. We shot our first wedding this summer, which was a marking moment of dreams becoming reality for us.

Capturing moments with photography is one of my deepest passions, and this opens the door to meeting really cool people. Laughing over silly faces and diving into the realness of life with our subjects draws us into connection. Without connection, the camera can never capture the heart of its subject. Photos should do more than just turn out well; photos should tell a story and reveal a person’s heart.

These pictures are from one of my favorite shoots yet. I was up in the mountains in western Colorado staying at a cabin with some of my most intimate friends. These people constantly fill me with life and surround me with love and have reshaped the way I think about authentic community. I let my camera tag along with me wherever we went and let it capture many moments that are now engraved into who I am.

Through a beautiful process, I can finally touch the dreams I once thought were distant and impossible. I have learned that unanswered potential was screaming to me that my dreams are trustworthy life was never intended to fit in a mold. I learned to embrace risk for the reward of trust it has always been worth, to plunge into the mysterious depths we were all created for, and adventure past what others have always considered “the right plan.”

Creativity is alive and it calls out to the depths of who you are. Answer it.
