It was about 9 years ago that a friend first asked me to shoot their wedding. Since then I, in the guise of Photography by Duncan Holmes, have had some fabulous opportunities to shoot weddings, bridal fashion and all sorts. I'd had a camera in my hand as long as I can remember, but only really took it up seriously in my early thirties.

In the South, we love our traditions.  As a little girl, I remember seeing large portraits of gorgeous brides displayed in homes of family members and friends.  I dreamed of one day having my own bridal portrait displayed in my home, but I never dreamed that I would get to photograph so many gorgeous brides! Since I picked up a camera about seven years ago, I have photographed countless weddings, engagements, bridals, and families since then.  I consider it an honor any time someone trusts me to capture these milestones.
