Before knowing event planning was such a thing, I used to dream of a day where I could create beautifully themed events, "wowing" anyone who would see. Now that I see that can be my reality, I am partially in disbelief yet 80% constantly filled with excitement. From creating a client's color palette to ensure the day-of host(s) have everything that he/she needs to enjoy their special moment, I love this!
My passion for event planning didn't transition from a dream to real life until my life as an undergraduate of Sam Houston State University, I deeply realized my love for events when I began planning events for many student body organizations, including Beautiful Alliance, a fashion/beauty student organization I co-founded.
While in college, I learned how to become creative and stretch a dollar after long donation campaigns and organization strict budgets.
In which, I started to think of different ways on how to achieve a luxurious look on budget. Then interning at the Huntsville Walker Chamber of Commerce, I learned the business a little more.
Returning home to Houston, I knew I had to find a way to continue to be savvy so I may reach my target audience, express my interest and meet the needs of real people who want to celebrate without breaking the bank.
As a Event and Wedding Planner, Stylist, Coordinator and Founder of Touches by Tempest with a decade of experience my signature style is the ability to reflects my clients’ personalities and desires within their budgets.
Simply put this is why this styleshoot "Purple Outdoor Delight" is one of my favorite set-ups that I have done so far. I like to give my client a grand example on how their event may be minimal and bold at the same time. At the same time, I always add in a personalize decor piece made by me. This brings visual value and an expensive view to each event. (The backdrop- hula hoop was personally created for this.)
This is a fun example on why I possess the unique ability to create memorable affairs with ease, flair, style and innovation.
“I work closely with my clients to get a real sense of their needs & wants first. I then use my knowledge and know-how to bring their event to life.”
