You know those people in life that seem to light up a room whenever they walk in? The people that everyone loves to be around because their happiness and joy is so contagious? Well, that's Kelsey. So, for her senior session I wanted to capture a bit of that joy along with her love for nature and anything adventurous.
Kelsey's senior session took place in the middle of a Louisiana countryside this past fall. We hiked through forests, waded through a freezing river, and picked wildflowers, making it one of my favorite portrait sessions.
My favorite part about being a wedding and portrait photographer is, of course, the amazing people I get to work with, but also the beautiful places I am able to shoot. I can't help but feel inspired when I'm surrounded with a gorgeous location, such as this one. So, you can see why I fell in love with this portrait session. Everywhere that we turned, we were surrounded with green forests, open pastures, or sandy beaches.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Kelsey's session took place right as the sun was beginning to set, giving us the radiant golden light that is every photographer's dream. We kept shooting until it was too dark to shoot anymore, taking advantage of every last bit of light.
From the destinations it takes me, to the wonderful people I'm able to meet through it, being a photographer is my dream job. There is something so special about being trusted to capture such beautiful moments in people's lives. Whether it's a wedding, a family, or a graduating high school senior, I love every aspect of being a photographer. I feel so blessed to be able to call this my work, I honestly could not imagine doing anything else.
