Sea You Smile Photography

I'm a pretty diverse photographer based in Boston, MA. Let me explain what I mean by diverse; I photograph all kinds of sessions: from family portraits and boudoir, to weddings and special events. My shooting style is mostly candids, with a mix of posed shots; and my editing style is bright and airy. My goal, as your photographer, is to capture the story of your life, one chapter at a time.

In 2017, I launched my very first business, "Ashley Diabo Photography". I spent a few months building my portfolio and before I knew it, business was booming. After almost a year of being in business, I decided it was time to re-brand and name the company after my dad, who passed away in 2015. After all, I believe he's the reason my photography business has taken off. So, I ditched my old business cards, created new ones, and launched Sea You Smile Photography in December 2017.

I met one of my models, Neely, during my portfolio-building phase. Her and her family have been in almost every casting call since. Her maternity session was my favorite session I have ever shot, and really kicked off my career! Neely (and her family) have really shown me my worth in this industry and I'm extremely proud of the photographer I have become. Below, you can see the beautiful work we created together.

Neely's outfit allowed the focus to be on her belly, while still covering her most sensitive areas. In addition to her outfit, she chose a flower headband. We started with her solo portraits, and then added in the family. The sun was pretty harsh that day, so we played with the angles. However, Neely really wanted a picture with her entire family, so we braved the sun and captured a few family portraits.

Her son, Hunter, started to get tired, so we let him rest. We directed our focus on Neely and her husband, Doug.

Last, Neely changed into another dress and we were able to capture this stunning portrait just as the sun was setting.

Like Aaron Siskand once said, "Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
