Salutations from Sackett Photo!
Hi everybody! My name is Tessa Cole and I'm the blessed owner of Sackett Photo here in tiny Ol' Jesup, IA where I reside with my husband, Nick, two sons, Oscar & Oliver, & our beagle, Jersey! I can't believe I still get to do what I love after 10 + years! I believe I did my first photo session for a friend in 2004! I remember sweating almost the entire time thinking "Lord, please just give me ONE good shot". Fast forward 12 years and my photography business has gotten sweeter & sweeter with every passing day. In just a short 12 years it's been so fun to see my photography ride along with me and my lifestyle. Currently, I'm in the child rearing stages of life so my days are consumed mostly with sippy cups, diaper changes, t-ball games, & some days just keeping the kids alive! HA HA If our life hadn't already felt chaotic, we are adding to our boy brood this fall! We will have THREE boys & couldn't be more excited to add another little manpie to our "team"!
My current FOCUS (quirky pun totally intended) is newborn, family, and kiddo sessions with an occasional wedding and senior! Why did that sound like something read off a menu? Insert smiley emoji. When it comes to processing and style, I love all things vintage, textured, floral, with a splash of color!
Newborn sessions have become a dreamy favorite of mine. I do a lot of planning a head of time with my clients. For me it's where the session comes to life prior to even picking up my camera. There is something so precious and nostalgic about getting to document the new breath of life! I don't know if it's because I've been "there" in those new moments of motherhood that are ever fleeting & precious or if it's because I don't have to chase them in a field of pot holes, bugs, & make animal noises to earn smiles ") Either way, documenting the love families have for one another has filled my own love tank and not only made me a better photographer, but a better mom! Isn't that what finding your passion & purpose is all about? ")
