All of this happened so fast. We met Michelle and her sister in January. Four months later, we drove to San Francisco City Hall to capture their intimate wedding ceremony and got to Castro Valley, where they had their simple yet elegant reception at their family’s ranch. This was the first time we met Nick and their son.
I wouldn’t say this wedding was big on decoration. They had what it needed to make this wedding enjoyable for their beloved friends and families. Indeed, they made their wedding in a casual way without having to follow a strict schedule with many “must do” things. They focused on what mattered to them: the dances, casual toasts, and the rest were on us: candid moments! “Worry” didn’t seem to exist in their vocabulary. We’d never seen them feel stressful. We only saw them laugh and cry the happy tears.
This is one of a few weddings where we shoot with only one photographer. It was a little challenging in term of angle. Since there was only me as the main photographer, I couldn’t risk trying new angle at some critical moments. Thanks to my wife, Kelly, for her assistance, we were able to grab some different perspectives that I wanted.
