Metts Photo

I always knew that when I got married, I wanted to spend as much time with my husband as possible. After Michael bought me my first digital camera in college, and he started teaching me how to use it, I fell in love with art of photography. He has a very photojournalistic style and really valued storytelling. I loved getting to know people and hearing what's truly important to them.

When I first assisted my husband at a wedding, I knew that this was a perfect way to do what we loved, and spend time with each other.

We love spending time with our couples during an engagement session to explore Chicago and take photos in places that have meaning to them as a couple. We talk to them over drinks and help them think through their wedding timeline.

We’ve been wedding photographers in the Chicago area for 9 years now, and I can’t imagine calling any other place home. We absolutely love our couples and enjoy photographing their day, and, more importantly, getting to know who they are so that we can best tell their wedding day story.

Weddings are filled with so much emotion. While I love taking photos of all the details and special touches that our couples have planned, I know that the photos they will cherish the most are the ones that capture the emotions of the day. From when the couple is getting ready, to when they first see each other, recite their vows, and enjoy a party with their closest friends and family, we’re there to capture the smiles, the tears, and laughter. When they look back on their photos, we want them to feel like they can relive their wedding day and pass along those memories through the generations.

Chicago is an incredibly diverse city. There are so many photogenic places that are beautiful, but also can hold such special memories. Chicago can never get boring to us, and we look forward to hearing many more stories and documenting many more beginnings for our wedding couples.
