Jean Marie Weddings // Fall in love with Laura + Jason

Hello, My name is Jean, owner of Jean Marie Weddings, a family owned and operated business providing coordinator, design, and planning services for weddings in Illinois. We work intimately with our clients to make sure all of their visual ideas come to life. Our goal is to make our clients happy and minimize their stress so they can cherish every moment of their special day (It goes fast!). Today, I am featuring Laura + Jason's big day photographed by Ed and Aileen Photography.

To me, there's nothing more romantic than the Fall. The beautiful colors of the leaves, snuggling up by the fire, apple pie, and pumpkin spice - GAH, I love it all! So when Laura + Jason asked me to help them with their November 3rd wedding, I said YES, YES, YES!

Laura + Jason had their Chicago wedding at Lacuna 2150, an old macaroni factory turned event space and artist studio. Their ceremony and reception was in the Blank Canvas Gallery and decorated with blush, maroon, and white blooms and accented with hints of dark green foliage from Flowers For Dreams. Their copper arch was partially covered in greenery with pops of floral clusters and hanging tea lights to create a romantic backdrop. Their aisle was lined with a mix of dark and sage garland illumined by dozens of white pillar candles in glass cylinders.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails in the lobby which featured artwork from Chicago's most eclectic artists. During this time the Blank Canvas Gallery was flipped for the reception, repurposing the aisle garland as table runners and the copper arch as a backdrop for the head table.

"While we had a general idea as to what we wanted the day to look like, we began to feel overwhelmed with the amount of options.  That is when we reached out to Jeannie and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. After the first call with her, the anxiety around the wedding planning began to lift.  Jeannie’s experience makes her an amazing resource and she was able to recommend vendors that we loved and provide insightful opinions.  Her positivity and engaging spirit made the planning process fun and more manageable.  She is so well organized and easy to work with. I don’t think I can say enough about our experience with Jeannie and could not recommend her enough!  As a testament to this feeling, when a coworker asked what I would have changed about our wedding, I was able to confidently and honestly say nothing and I know that without Jeannie the answer would not have been the same!"
