Photos aren’t just two-dimensional. And that’s what makes wedding photography so special. Photos are complex and full of memory, emotion, and love. Isn’t it crazy how you can look at an image from your past and remember the way you felt when it was taken? You are flooded with the smells, feelings, and thoughts of that exact moment. That's exactly why I love what I do- I am able to gift couples with tangible moments from the best day of their lives.
For the past 4 years, I have been a wedding photographer while simultaneously getting my college degree. I do believe that education is important, but let me tell you, I recently graduated and I am SO thrilled. For the first time in my life, I am able to pursue wedding photography full-time! I’ve never been so excited about having the time to answer emails! I am just so proud to be fully pursuing my work and the amazing couples I come in contact with. Speaking of amazing couples, Brooks and Shelby are exactly that. Whenever I have a crazy photoshoot idea or want to travel off to Joshua Tree, CA to take bridal photos, they always answer with an excited, “YES!”. Their trust in my ideas and work has led to an incredible relationship. I am so blessed to have “clients" turn into friends for life.
A few months after we took bridal photos in Joshua Tree, Brooks and Shelby tied the knot in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Spain Ranch, the most charming wedding venue. The colors, the details, the space were absolutely perfect—a photographers dream. It was a privilege to watch Shelby’s dreams and ideas for this wedding unfold. What an honor it was to capture it all.
I am so grateful for all of the amazing couples I have been able to work alongside and build relationships with. Here’s to many more adventures and spectacular wedding days!
