Adam and I shoot as a husband and wife team, and we recently moved from Australia to Maui to pursue our underwater, wedding and portrait photography more seriously. Adam has been in the water since he was little, bodyboarding and doing surfing tours and photographing empty waves. I moved to Australia to be with him and we spent the past eight years in Queensland photographing separately: I did weddings, and he focused on surf photography. In September of 2013, we combined our two businesses in to one to form Love and Water, providing artistic portraits in and out of the water, and intimate Maui weddings.
Forming Love and Water was the best thing we ever did, getting the chance to not only work together, but create images together that we come home and get giddy with excitement to edit and show to our clients! Having the opportunity to work in the water and be in the presence of nature is a dream come true, and we are truly passionate about what we do while still finding time to enjoy the finer things in life like amazing food and coffee and take advantage of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets Maui offers us by taking our dog Marley to the beach each morning and afternoon.
Moving overseas and starting from scratch is never easy but we've been met with an overwhelming amount of support here on Maui and have come in to contact with many genuinely kind, inspiring people who have welcomed us to our new home. It is our hope that we can continue to do what we truly love and enjoy each day in the beautiful place. Loving what we do, getting outdoors and enjoying our lives together is what matters most. It's the ultimate combination that keeps us inspired, and it's our hope that the inspiration we feel follows through to the images we create.
