Fifth Photography- For Love Stories Near & Far

I'm Norm Roberts the Fifth, an artist who has spent more than a decade perfecting the medium of light. During that time I've photographed a little bit of everything; brides and grooms, models, landscapes, hotels, products, you name it. But as I mastered my craft I concluded that there's just something inexplicably wonderful about photographing people. From romantic elopements in Yosemite, to elegant weddings here in Los Angeles, artistically photographing people to create images that tell their love story is my passion. For me, photography isn't a means to a paycheck, but a method of artistic expression.

Today, I wanted to share a very special wedding with all of you here. I had worked with this couple to photograph their engagement in Sequoia National Park. This adventurous session had led me to drastically change the focus of my wedding business and begin to pursue elopements. I'll never be able to express how grateful I am to them for that. So needless to say I had been anxiously anticipating getting to see them again at their wedding.

Much to my delight, they had selected the Castle Green in Pasadena as their wedding venue. Entering this historic hotel is like walking out of a time machine. Built in 1898 the Castle Green is one of the oldest buildings still standing in Los Angeles county. This nationally registered historic monument has been painstakingly restored and furnished with gorgeous antiques from the Victorian era. The grounds are spectacular featuring a lily pond, towering trees and lush, well kept lawn that is just perfect for an outdoor ceremony.

It's hard to imagine a venue that's better suited for vintage themed weddings than this. As you will see below, It certainly made an ideal setting for this next great chapter in Patrick and Caitlin's love story.
