Seems like yesterday when I first met Gary and Alyssa to shoot their engagement session. Since then, I've had the opportunity to shoot their wedding, pregnancy shoot and now capture some beautiful moments with their little angel - Helena. They have a beautiful family. And not to forget, the two amazing dogs - Logan and Lacie, always there protecting their little sister. But here are a few beautiful memories from their family portraits a few weeks ago.
Here's Helena in a playful mood.
And we had the perfect day to celebrate their time here with crisp blue skies and bright colors. One of my favorite shots is of the whole family sitting together on the grass accompanied by their dogs. Helena was being silly and was hard to contain for some of the shots, maybe she found a big camera to be of special interest. For the shot above, Gary and Alyssa were able to hold her tight and keep her stable and she looked right into the lens at the perfect moment which made this shot possible!
Helena was such a sport. She was happy all throughout the session. She didn't fuss about putting her down in the damp grass or being by herself to get some pictures done. That bow on her head just makes her look so much cuter. Love her bright eyes and the big smile on her face.
That's an adorable mother-daughter portrait of Alyssa and Helena. There are some shots for which you don't really need to give directions and this was one of them. I let Alyssa and Helena be by themselves for a few minutes and noticed Alyssa showering her love and then immediately captured this beautiful moment.
Now that's a complete family picture with Gary, Alyssa, Helena and their two dogs - Logan and Lacie. Makes the pride complete. The dogs have always accompanied them - at the engagement session, wedding, pregnancy photoshoot and of course for their family portrait now.
How could we miss a daddy and daughter portrait. Here's daddy showing his love and affection for his little darling angel.
That's how it all begins - with a kiss :)
Ending the session with a high. It's always fun to shoot family portraits outdoors. It just brings in so much liveliness and an opportunity to capture true personalities of people. And specially great for shooting young kids. They are never stationary and it gives an opportunity to capture their adolescence on the swings, grass or just playing or running around.
