While my path to weddings was not direct, looking back it seems meant to be. In school, I studied photojournalism, focusing on photography's ability to document and preserve the way we see and experience the world. After college, I moved to NYC where I worked as a gallery assistant and a photo researcher for a fashion magazine.

I don’t fall in any one particular style of wedding photography avoiding labels and trends. I aspire to capture your wedding with honesty and sincerity documenting the day as it unfolds. I will not over pose or direct you in a way that feels inauthentic or uncomfortable allowing you to interact naturally.

I decided to share a recent engagement session with one of my favorite couples ever! Their wedding this past August was incredible and it was so fun getting to know them before during the portrait session. Danielle wanted to start at the bar they first met at. We eased into the session setting the tone for a relaxed and candid vibe.

After having a quick beer, we went to LaSalle St. Bridge, an iconic spot in the City with incredible views of downtown. We could not have asked for better light! The glow of the sunset so perfectly reflecting off of the river.

When planning for the session we wanted access to a rooftop during sunset. After a quick outfit change we went upstairs and had the most perfect golden light! Personally, I love when couples bring two outfits, keeping one casual and the second dressy. Her tulle skirt and pearl necklace photographed perfectly.

We ended the session on the lakefront at dusk with the skyline dazzling in the background. It sure was cold and windy but made for some incredible photos.
