"Lights...Cue the Fog!...."

I love to work in studio! To have full control of the lighting, the props, and the backdrops. I remember taking a beginning photography course in high school and my teacher at the time had a book with Annie Leibovitz' work and I found myself being completely obsessed with her studio black and white photography. There was something so raw about it and the sets she would work with was always to die for. I promised myself that I would learn everything I could about lighting and studio work to keep that part of photography alive.

Fast forward 10 years later I graduated from the Fullerton College Photography program with a certificate and continue to work out of a studio in Orange, CA. I love to have complete control over the environment and portray the type of mood my client wants. I recently had a shoot where I had the opportunity to work with a fog machine, filtered blue lights, and a backdrop I made out of Vinyl records (this was for a radio host April Duran Radio Station Hot 103.9) and to be able to be so hands on in every aspect of the shoot brings me the ultimate joy.

Along with Studio Photography I shoot Engagements and Weddings! Documenting love as it's cemented with a kiss in front of the world is the bees knees! I have been blessed with amazing clients that choose the best locations!

I have recently had the opportunity to shoot at Hidden Acres Lytle Creek, CA and the rustic vibe it has was just breath taking. The alter where the ceremony was held had a backdrop of the mountains and though it was a rainy day it made it somehow even more charming.

When it comes to Weddings I have a photo journalistic approach to capture the raw emotions and the candid looks because that is 100% the sincerest way to capture that day. Ofcourse I will do the usually posing, but I want my clients to look back and see their story unfold as they reminisce when revisiting the photos.
