Eclectic Southern California Wedding Photography with Amanda Canton

Collaborations are everything to me. I draw most of my inspiration from the connections with the people I am creating with. Every single time I'm talking with a Bride I look forward to hearing about her ideas for her look. I will be the first to admit that I have a huge veil obsession. I even own a few. I'm known to buy one at least once a month. Seriously.

Some of my favorite moments when shooting weddings is the time I get to spend during bridal portraits. It's our time to take a moment and get creative. I absolutely love flower crowns and to me they will never go out of style. Especially one made with such love like this one from Sibyl Sophia Floral Design. She is a bomb babe based out of Los Angeles who has a serious passion and talent for creating unique floral designs. For more info >>> https://www.sibylsophia.com/orders

What would I like to see more of in the ever changing trends of wedding photography? I would love to see more creative and unique looks. I feel like right now more and more women are straying away from typical trends and are digging deep to express themselves with their look on their wedding day. It is awesome and I'm so digging it!

Dreamy romantic loose braids are another weakness of mine. Molly Tabor is my GO TO girl when it comes to creative dreamy bridal looks. I can't say enough amazing things about this SoCal based talented hair designer. Check her out >>> https://www.manelymolly.com

This mod retro look was created by Nicole Lynn Beauty where she added a bold teal lid and complimented it with a subtle pale pink lip. Maria's eyes popped.

Here, Nicole Lynn Beauty picked flowers from her garden and dehydrated them to place on Keagan's face along with gold flakes. This really gave our vintage bride a unique look all her own. Check her out here >>> https://www.instagram.com/Nicolelynn.beauty

Destinee Nicholson took tiny flowers from a bouquet she had and dried them to later apply on her face here. She framed her cheek bone all the way down her neckline and chest. Her eyes a painted dusty rose. She really created such a whimsical and dreamy look that stood out. Check out more of her makeup work here >>> https://www.instagram.com/sfxbydest

I can't say that I really "pose" people but more so gently guide them into a position. The environment I like to create is relaxed and free flowing. We're talking and I'm snapping. That's really it. Also, I'm always down to play a little music. I have a speaker that I have on my at all times.
