Downtown Austin Texas Proposal | France Photographers Austin

Photographing Austin proposals is one of my favorite jobs.

It's such a happy time for the couple, and is always so thoughtfully planned out. Capturing the surprise is always so much fun and exciting knowing the couple will be planning their WEDDING soon! It makes me so giddy just thinking about it! Though, I do have to hand it to the ones proposing, my nerves are always high. I can't imagine what they are going through!

Joe and Caitlin met at the Air Force Academy a little over three years ago. They both knew they wanted to get married, and so in order to stay together and not be separated by the military, they knew it needed to be soon! What Caitlin didn't know, is that their trip back home to Texas to visit her family, was going to start off with the best surprise!

Joe first contacted us wanting to capture the moment that Caitlin said "yes!" to being his wife. Because they live in Virginia, and Joe isn't originally from this area, it took some planning to make sure we had everything planned out. Priorities were that it was a surprise, and that we also had a beautiful view of the skyline. We would definitely say it was a success in both areas!

When Caitlin arrived with her sisters to take some photos together downtown, one of them handed her a letter from Joe. The look on her face was priceless. Joe met her at the bottom of the hill while she read the sweet love note. Together they walked up, smiling the whole way. We had told him, "Make sure you don't rush anything", and he did an amazing job of taking in the view. He took time to look at the skyline with her, and make sure it was an intimate, special moment together. After asking Caitlin to be his wife, and her agreeing a million times over, you could tell this was the perfect timing. Two people who are FINALLY going to get married!!

Caitlin, we hope this moment was everything you dreamed it would be. Seems like you picked good one when he makes sure you will be dressed cute AND have your nails done! Plus, he hired a photographer to capture it all!! I think he's a keeper!
