In every aspect of my life, I tend to enjoy the little things. These little things add another level of happiness and warmth to my heart. For example, when cooking, I like to compose my plate as if I were being judged on my presentation in a cooking competition. When planning my wedding, I decided to make my groomsmen’s ties to ensure they would be the perfect shade of yellow in order to fit into my overall vision for my wedding. This enjoyment holds true through my photography as well. I love to take a subject and really dig deep and notice the little things that make them who they are at that moment in time.

In a newborn/infant session I love to capture those cute little toes, those one of a kind little ears, those tiny button noses, and their amazing full of life smiles. All of the things that encompass the essence of a newborn baby or an infant and what makes him or her one of a kind.In a portrait session I cannot wait to capture the extra elements that make the subject who they are. Details like the purse the bride carried, adorned with her new last initial on it; the elegant buttons down the back of the bride’s dress that just radiate beauty; the long, flowing train that follows behind the bride adding another "wow factor" to the already magical day. These are the details that the bride spent her life dreaming about and what makes her feel like a BRIDE. In a family session I look forward to capturing the love and warmth that exists within a family. The love between a mother and her son; the pride a father has in his son; the way a big sister looks at her new baby brother; a daughter and all the laughter she exudes. These are all of the elements that make up a family and all of the things that give you that extra level of happiness in your heart. People always say, “Life is too short, don’t sweat the small stuff.” But I say, remember the small stuff because that is the “stuff” that makes us who we are and allows us to stand out from everyone else. That is the philosophy I carry when I am in a photo session. I make sure to capture the small stuff that makes my clients unique, so when they lose track of those things in their own busy lives, (as we all do so often) they have a wonderful memory captured to look back on and remind themselves of the pure joy that existed in their life at that moment in time.
